Development of joint projects and support for graduates of the University of Applied Arts Vienna. The central priority is to foster the relationship of the Angewandte to their graduates, the mutual exchange of opinions and ideas, the cultivation of contacts between graduates, the promotion of art and science of the Angewandte and their graduates as well as the documentation of the artistic and scientific development of the graduates.
Two fields of activity: ARTist CONNECT and ARTist SUPPORT (“You connect, we support”).
Networking between graduates and members of the university (students, faculty, etc.). ARTist brings graduates together with relevant contexts for artistic and scientific development.
Support for graduates in financial and immaterial terms (consulting services, continuing education, publication support, etc.).
Upon graduation, graduates are automatically subscribed to the ARTist newsletter. Information on current funding opportunities, open calls and relevant events is sent once or twice a month (subscription can be cancelled at any time). All graduates continue to have access to Angewandte base and its applications for digital support, currently including Portfolio, Showroom, and Image+. If you need alumni access, please get in touch with the Office of Student and Academic Affairs.
Funding of publication projects with a maximum amount of € 1.500. Upon positive evaluation, a freelance work contract will be issued, and payment will be made upon submission of 5 publication copies. The Angewandte and ARTist logos must be added to the publication upon funding approval. You can only be granted a publication grant once. Submissions by email to artist@uni-ak.ac.at. The Department of Staff Development and Equality offers a wide range of internal continuing education programs available to all employees of the University of Applied Arts free of charge.
