Funding programme for inter- and transdisciplinary projects. The programme aims to promote a new understanding of current issues and to do so rigorously, creatively and with commitment by bringing in the Angewandte with all its approaches and perspectives. Further information.
Promoting project development enables researchers at the University of Applied Arts Vienna to increase their participation in calls for proposals in the international and European research area. The university provides resources for the presentation, networking and content development of applied potentials in the international research area as well as for editorial work on project proposals in the form of a Project Proposal Residency.

The transformation of society must always be perceived in new ways. INTRA, as well as the funded and future projects, contribute to the methodological development of artistic and scientific knowledge processes concerning complex challenges at the Angewandte. INTRA aims to enhance and strengthen the already established conversation culture as well as solidarity and supportive dialogue among researchers and colleagues at the University of Applied Arts.
INTRA 2024
The University of Applied Arts Vienna had invited colleagues to submit projects in relation to the fifth call in the Programme for Inter- and Transdisciplinary Projects in Art and Research (from February 12 to April 11, 2024). This call was addressed to individuals or teams at the Angewandte who have an artistic and/or scholarly profile as well as a high level of competence in her or his respective subject area.
